Hackney Council’s racially-determined grants

The Council is offering funding for Black History Season

Today Hackney announced grants “of up to £2k are open to organisations & artists for this year’s #BlackHistorySeason”.

The Council further explained that these “are open to Black-led organisations, curators & collectives to deliver activities & events in October & November 2025”.

The Borough is giving away £10,000 in total “to distribute across multiple applicants”.
