Merry Christmas to my followers!

From me and Georgie (the border terrier)

To all my followers,

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Thank you to everyone who has supported my work over the last few years. You absolutely fund my research, and I also take great heart from all the lovely and interesting messages/ comments I receive. To add a positive note, I genuinely would never do this work if I didn’t have hope for the future.

In the meantime, I hope you can all switch off, have a lovely mince pie and time with loved ones. I am also sending all my love to anyone who finds Christmas hard or is alone. I know it is not always an easy time. My recent answer to everything has been “read Jeeves” – because there’s so much comfort in P. G. Wodehouse, but I am also transmitting a “digital hug” (cringe but true).

To end on a Crazy-Dog-Lady note, my border terrier/ terrorist Georgie has definitely been the highlight of my year. I have really enjoyed our long walks (in between researching left-wing networks), as well as buying her this jumper. I think she looks a bit like Colin Firth in Bridget Jones Diary.

Tomorrow I will be at home with my family. My mother has kitted out everyone with slippers in order to survive Georgie who, at seven months old, is giving Jaws a run for his money.

I did warn you I’m a Crazy Dog Lady.

Anyway, Merry Christmas lovely people!
