“Is Miatta Fahnbulleh the brains behind Burnham?” reads a New Statesman published last week. It was about the Labour (Co-Op) MP for Peckham, who was up until May the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Fahnbulleh is hardly a household name, but has received increasing attention since she became the first minister to resign over Keir Starmer’s premiership. All this might give you the idea of an economic mastermind at work (The New Statesman has even coined the term “Fahnbullehism”).
